What does EnduroShield actually do?
It is a protective coating that seals the glass so soap scum, water marks and minerals cannot penetrate. Water beads off, cleaning takes a fraction of the time — about 3 minutes instead of 20 in ORE's experience — and one application lasts up to 3 years.
Can it remove the stains I already have?
No. EnduroShield prevents future staining but cannot remove marks that have already etched into the glass. For those, ORE restores the glass with EnduroShield's own restoration polish, testing a small area first — and if the marks will not come out, replacing the glass is the answer. Let us look at the glass first.
Why is an on-site inspection necessary?
Because the right answer depends on the state of the glass. A screen that only looks dirty and a screen that is already etched need two different jobs, and the only way to tell them apart is to see it. The inspection is charged.
Will the glass still need cleaning afterwards?
Yes, but far less of it, and far more easily. The coating stops dirt bonding to the surface; it does not stop dirt landing on it.
How do I look after coated glass?
About once a week, wipe with a soft microfibre cloth, white vinegar diluted in water and a neutral cleaner. Don't use scouring powder, bleach or abrasive cleaners — they damage the coating and end its warranty.
Can I use it on my kitchen tiles or other surfaces?
Yes — it works on tiles and grout, stainless steel (304/316), ceramic, porcelain, aluminium, chrome and some metal tapware (we check it on site), as well as glass. On kitchen tiles it forms an invisible barrier that repels oils and stains so spills wipe away easily.
Can it be used on marble or natural stone?
No. It is not suitable for natural stone such as marble, granite, sandstone or travertine, and it is not for concrete, brick, acrylic or plastics, colour-coated steel roofing, powder-coated surfaces, or unsealed raw brass and copper. Tiles and grout that already have a sealer need that sealer removed first.
Can it be applied to an existing shower screen?
Yes — existing glass is the usual case, including old shower screens. What matters is the condition of the surface, which is what the inspection establishes.
Do you treat car windscreens?
Yes — there is a rain-repellent kit for windscreens. Exterior car glass only.
How long does it take to apply?
A typical shower screen of about 28 sq ft takes 2–3 hours on site; glass that needs restoring first takes longer. The surface is cleaned and dried, then the coating is sprayed on and wiped evenly, and the glass is ready to use 8 hours later. Before we arrive, just clear the shower area and let it dry.
What is the warranty?
3 years on every EnduroShield coating ORE supplies — the DIY kit, on-site coating of existing glass, and new glass coated before installation. DIY kit: apply it within 30 days of purchase and record a short video of the water beading; if the coating fails, we send a new bottle or refund you. On-site: if wear appears in the first month, we come back and re-apply free. The warranty covers the coating still repelling water. It does not cover scratches, broken glass, hardware or re-installation, damage from bleach, strong acid or alkaline cleaners, polishing pastes, scouring pads or steel wool, or a new owner after the property is sold.
Who is ORE to EnduroShield?
ORE is EnduroShield's main distributor in Malaysia, buying direct from EnduroShield in Australia, and a certified applicator. The DIY kits are original EnduroShield kits. enduroshieldpro.com in Petaling Jaya is an ORE agent.
Is it certified?
Yes. EnduroShield is certified by TÜV Rheinland in Germany for durability and easy-clean performance. It was developed by a lead chemist with more than 40 years in nanotechnology, has been used for 20 years in over 50 countries, and protects the exterior glass of IKEA in Madrid.
Can stainless steel be coated?
Yes — new or old stainless steel can be coated on site. Near the sea, still rinse it with fresh water regularly and wipe it dry: the coating slows staining from salt air, but it does not replace care.
