10mm clear tempered is the standard for this system. If what you are really after is strength and safety, the better answer is not a thicker single pane — it is PureScreen: two 5mm tempered panes bonded together, about 10.8mm in all, so the glass is held in place if it ever breaks.

Two 5mm panes of tempered glass bonded to an OptiPure safety interlayer made for exposed, frameless edges, with a NanoShield coating applied in the factory. If it ever breaks, the pieces stay bonded to the interlayer rather than falling loose, and the coating stops water and soap marks setting in.

That is what the NanoShield coating is for — water rolls straight off instead of drying on the glass, so the marks do not build up. It is warranted for 3 years.

That is delamination, and it is the right question to ask about any laminated glass in a wet room. PureScreen's interlayer is made for exposed, frameless edges — in the maker's tests it stayed fully bonded after six months in salt and acid — and ORE warrants it for 5 years against delamination.

Ordinary clear glass carries a slight green tint, most visible at the edges. Ultra-clear is made with less iron, so it looks genuinely colourless.

Usually 14–18 days from your enquiry to a finished installation. The installation itself takes about 3–4 hours on site, and the shower is ready to use 24 hours later, once the sealant has cured.

ORE replaces it 1-to-1 within 2 years — the new glass, delivery and installation are all included. This covers ORE's tempered glass, both the 10mm standard and PureScreen. We check the break first: a spontaneous break starts from a small butterfly-shaped point with no impact mark.

After the tiles, the shower kerb and the floor are finished — measuring earlier gives the wrong size. The kerb and the floor fall are done by your renovation contractor; ORE supplies and installs the glass and the hardware.

Up to 10 ft high, with 7 ft as standard. Fixed panels are kept to about 5 ft wide and doors to about 2.5–3 ft. Hinges are rated 40 kg per pair, so a heavier door gets a third hinge — sizes stay within what the hardware is rated to carry.

Water, a soft cloth or sponge, and a neutral cleaner. Don't use bleach, strong acid or alkaline cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool — they damage the coating and end its warranty.

Once glass is cut and tempered it cannot be altered, so sizes cannot be changed and the order cannot be cancelled after production starts, and the deposit is not refundable. That is why we measure on site first — and if ORE's measurement is wrong, or the glass breaks in delivery or installation, ORE remakes it at no cost to you.
