Why is an ORE mirror more than an ordinary one?
It is copper-free mirror from an ISO 9001-certified factory. The backing resists the black-edge oxidation that, in our experience, ordinary mirrors show within about a year. It comes with polished edges and is installed by ORE-approved installers, with ORE responsible from order to handover.
What is the difference between Clear and Bronze?
Clear is the standard bright mirror. Bronze has a warm tinted tone for a more decorative, premium look. Grey is a smoky tint, quieter than bronze.
How do you get a big mirror into a condo?
We do not send one giant piece. We cut it into panels that fit the way in — the lift, the staircase, the doorway — and join them neatly on the wall, so it still reads as one full mirror. Same size on the wall, and no difference to the price.
Can you cut around my plug points?
Yes. Cut-outs for sockets and switches are normal work — send a photo of the wall with them in shot and we will plan it before anything is cut.
Can you remove my old mirror?
Yes. We can take the old one down on its own, or dismantle and install the new one as a single job.
Do you install?
Yes — supply and installation by ORE-approved installers, included.
Is there a delivery charge?
No — delivery is included within the areas we cover.
Which areas do you cover?
Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor — with no delivery charge inside those areas.
How long does it take?
Usually 7–10 days from your enquiry to a finished installation.
Why 5mm and not 6mm?
5mm is the usual choice for home and bathroom mirrors — for most sizes, around 3 × 5 ft, it is flat, strong enough and easy to fix. 6mm is for very large, frameless floor-standing or gym mirrors: stiffer, but about 20% heavier and dearer. Thickness does not decide black edges; the copper-free backing, the edges and the room do. 4mm and 6mm are available to order.
Do you do bevelled edges, holes and L-shaped cuts?
Yes. A bevelled edge is usually 10–25mm wide. Screw holes, notches, socket cut-outs and L-shaped cuts are made to your drawing — send a sketch with each position measured from the edge. Round, square and other shapes are cut from a size drawing, CAD file or photo.
Can I add a safety backing film?
Yes. The film on the back holds the pieces together if the mirror breaks. It is optional at home and strongly recommended for gyms, changing rooms and public spaces.
Do you sell tempered mirror?
No. Tempered mirror is tougher, but tempering tends to leave a slight wave in the reflection, and it does nothing for black edges. Where knocks are a worry, we add safety backing film or use a thicker mirror instead.
How is the mirror fixed to the wall?
It depends on the size. Small mirrors use clips or mirror adhesive; large, bathroom and gym mirrors use neutral, mirror-safe adhesive with a bottom channel. We never use acid-cure silicone, which attacks the backing. The adhesive goes on in vertical strips with air left behind the mirror, it is supported for the first day and fully cured in 48–72 hours — and once glued, a mirror cannot be taken down without breaking.
What does my wall need?
A dry, sound wall. Damp, mouldy or wallpapered walls are repaired first, and fresh paint needs 7–14 days. A wall more than 5mm out of flat is levelled first, or the reflection will bend. Keep the mirror 15–25 cm away from water heaters and strong lamps.
How do I clean it?
A microfibre cloth with water or an ammonia-free glass cleaner, sprayed on the cloth rather than the mirror, and dry the edges. Don't use ammonia cleaners, bleach, strong acids or alkalis, scouring pads, steel wool, toothpaste or blades — and don't let water sit at the edges, which speeds up black edges.
Is there a warranty on the mirror?
There is no written warranty on mirror glass — how long it stays clear depends on moisture and care. What ORE does stand behind: if our measurement is wrong, or the mirror breaks in delivery or installation, ORE remakes it at no cost to you.
Can I change the size after paying the deposit?
Once the mirror is cut it cannot be altered, so sizes cannot be changed and the order cannot be cancelled after production starts, and the deposit is not refundable. That is why we measure on site first.
